After understanding your situation and who you are, I use a variety of therapeutic tools tailored to work best for you. I believe we all have access to inner wisdom, and with the right tools, support, and guidance, we can find it for greater well-being and growth. My approach I bring numerous modalities to facilitate healing, empowerment, and growth, including Imaginal Psychology, Psychodynamic therapy, Art therapy, Mindfulness-based therapy, Humanistic, IFS work, ACT, Substance and Process Addiction–focused therapy, 12-Step work, Nature-based therapy, Rites-of-Passage work, DBT, CBT, and ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy). My focus I work with individuals and couples, addressing depression, anxiety, social anxiety, complex trauma, PTSD, transgender and gender issues, grief and loss, substance and process addictions, codependency, emotional dysregulation, life transitions as rites of passage, delayed young adult launching, elderhood and other life changes, and issues around incarceration and re-entry. My communication style I provide a safe environment where clients feel heard, seen, accepted, supported, and safely challenged when beneficial. I want clients to feel we are a team and that they are empowered along the way. My journey to mental healthcare As a child, I wanted to be an MD. I often cared for injured animals, and people sought me out to talk about their problems early on. As a young adult, I realized healing had to include the mind, heart, and soul. Becoming a therapist led me to my own healing work, which continues today. My goals for you Real progress and healing come from insight plus action. Goals are set together, monitored, and adjusted accordingly.
