UpLift Behavioral Health providers do not issue prescriptions for substances controlled by any federal or state agency or other drugs that may be harmful because of their potential for abuse. UpLift Behavioral Health reserves the right to limit the types of medications that may be prescribed by its doctors and nurse practitioners. All prescriptions furnished by UpLift Behavioral Health care providers are issued in accordance with applicable federal and state law as well as UpLift Behavioral Health policy. I treat the client in totality, addressing both mind and body in my therapeutic approach. My methods focus on increasing coping skills, helping clients become more self-aware, unpack years of trauma and unspoken fears, and empowering, encouraging, and motivating them to acknowledge their worth, value, and need for self-love. Clients are encouraged to bring all of their concerns to each session, with no topic off limits. Homework is often assigned to allow deeper exploration between sessions. Sessions can be either client-led or therapist-led, depending on what works best for the individual. Open and authentic dialogue is always encouraged. I hold a Master’s in Social Work from Howard University and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland, which inform my compassionate and comprehensive approach to care.
