I help highly functioning individuals reduce anxiety and obsessive-compulsive (OCD) symptoms. Your mind can be a scary and overwhelming place. Does it seem like worry, stress, and anxiety have been running the show? I wish you weren’t here looking for help, but I’m glad you found my profile. As a therapist and founder of Behavioral Health Direct, my goal is to help you find relief and overcome difficult thoughts and feelings. I hold a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University. My clients are typically hardworking and motivated professionals and students struggling with anxiety-related issues and looking for clear goals and direction.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I’ll help you by starting with a solid understanding of your current issue and introducing some psychological ideas and concepts. I like to think of it as combining my skills and expertise with your knowledge of yourself and your experiences. I’ll then walk you through cognitive, behavioral, and emotional skills and exercises. I take a pretty direct role in counseling and am actively engaged in the process. I bring creativity and humor into sessions where appropriate.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Therapy takes an enormous amount of courage and strength. It's a journey of self discovery and can really empower you to get in touch with your true self and discover everything life has to offer.
