Hello, I'm Yvonne, a Texas-based Licensed Professional Counselor. My goal is to be an effective and empathetic counselor, empowering individuals by assisting them to understand and overcome personal, social, and behavioral problems that affect their development or prevent them from reaching their greatest potential.
Working from a holistic approach that addresses the physical, emotional, social, and spiritual aspects of the whole person, I hope to use my many years of experience to help individuals work through difficulties such as managing mental health symptoms and disorders, unemployment or underemployment, adjusting to life’s changes, or starting a journey towards recovery.
I specialize in a variety of areas including addiction, anger management, antisocial behavior, anxiety, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, depression, family relationships, grief/bereavement, LGBTQIA+ support, life transitions, multicultural/diversity issues, perinatal support (pregnancy, prenatal, postpartum), PTSD, intimate/romantic relationships, sex/intimacy issues, stress, and trauma. I also offer SonderMind Video Telehealth for those who prefer virtual sessions.
I have a Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling and advanced graduate studies in Rehabilitative Counseling, but more importantly, I have over 25 years of experience working with individuals and encouraging them to become their best selves. As a woman, a working professional, and a mother, I understand that life can get hectic sometimes. At the center of it all is you, and you deserve peace of mind.
