Denver Psychology Associates has a strict NO AI policy in which providers are not permitted to use AI to record sessions, take notes, or assist in reformatting notes. Your privacy is our top priority. Life transitions can be exciting, overwhelming, and sometimes both at once. I work with women and young adults who are navigating periods of change and trying to feel more grounded, confident, and connected to themselves along the way. You might be adjusting to college or life after graduation, starting a new career, navigating changes in friendships or relationships, moving to a new place, exploring your identity, entering a new stage of adulthood, or simply realizing that the way you've been coping isn't working as well as it used to. You don't have to wait until things feel like a crisis to benefit from therapy. My approach is gentle, supportive, and collaborative. I believe therapy should be a space where you can slow down, make sense of what you're experiencing, and explore what you need without feeling judged or pressured. Together, we'll work toward understanding the patterns that may be keeping you stuck while building practical ways to feel more capable and confident moving forward. I especially enjoy working with women around issues of self-esteem, relationships, boundaries, identity, stress, and the expectations that often come with trying to balance work, family, friendships, and your own needs. I also love working with young and emerging adults who are figuring out who they are and what they want their lives to look like as they navigate the transition into adulthood. Change can bring uncertainty, but it can also create an opportunity to build a life that feels more like your own. My goal is to help you feel supported as you navigate that process.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I am a very person-centered therapist, which means I believe in meeting you exactly where you are. I lead with empathy, curiosity, and understanding, creating a space where you can feel comfortable being yourself without judgment or pressure to have everything figured out. Together, we’ll explore what’s happening in your life right now while also looking a little deeper at the patterns, experiences, and relationships that may be contributing to the things you’re struggling with. My goal isn’t to tell you who you should be or what you should do, but to help you better understand yourself, recognize what you need, and feel more confident navigating whatever season of life you’re in.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our work begins with a comprehensive intake where I take the time to understand who you are, the identities and experiences that have shaped you, what is happening in your life now, and what ultimately brought you to therapy. From there, we will collaborate on goals that reflect what you want to better understand, change, or get out of our work together. I am a person-centered and relational therapist, so while we will have goals guiding our work, therapy is not one-size-fits-all. I meet you where you are and lead with empathy, curiosity, and understanding as we explore both what you are experiencing in the present and the deeper patterns that may be contributing to the things you are struggling with. Because I believe the relationship we build together is an important part of therapy, I ask new clients to commit to meeting weekly. That consistency gives us the opportunity to get to know one another, build trust, explore patterns more deeply, and maintain momentum in our work. I will also regularly check in with you about how therapy and our relationship are feeling, what is or isn't working for you, and whether you feel understood and supported. I welcome your feedback and want you to feel comfortable telling me when you need something different from me or from our work together. Therapy is a collaborative process, and your voice is an important part of shaping what that process looks like.
