He earned his Doctor of Medicine from Virginia Commonwealth University (formerly Medical College of Virginia) with Honors in Population Medicine and holds a Master's in Public Health from Stony Brook University. Dr. Jao has consistently demonstrated leadership in improving clinical operations, patient care, and financial outcomes.

The doctors and nurses here are excellent, they listen carefully and explain things thoroughly. I returned to this office several times after my first appointment because the doctors and nurses are kind and helpful. However, after the way the female receptionist treated me today, I can no longer continue supporting this establishment. She has been consistently unprofessional and extremely rude. On each of my four visits, she has either displayed a negative attitude, spoken so loudly that all patients could hear her, or engaged in inappropriate conversations. I strongly urge the company to review its CCTV footage. I will also be filing a formal complaint.

I met with Dr. Lee because the doctor I chose wasn’t in the office, Dr. Lee offered to see me and was very pleasant and helpful during my visit. The staff were very pleasant. I love that I was able to do my lab work and EKG at the same location too.

I have been seen the doctor since 2 months now for my chronic health condition and I must say, I am impressed with the medical facility and the doctors working there. Dr. Jao is very friendly and takes his time to listen to me and made me feel very comfortable.

Should have read the reviews and stayed away from this place. When I went, there was an angry patient who was charged additional for her visit. The front desk gave her an attitude about it during and after the argument (even after she has left). The same thing happened to me . I was charged additional although I was told numerous times I wouldn’t need to make any additional payments. When I called the office, the front desk hung up on me at the end. Stay away from this place!!!!

I can’t speak enough how awesome UH is. They have flexibile schedules, amazing hours and the doctors are wildly knowlegable.
Not sure who the front desk girl was on 4/27/2025 but she so sweet and organized. Very impressed.
Also love the guy who draws my blood.

UNPROFESSIONAL FRONT DESK STAFF WITH TERRIBLE BEDSIDE MANNER
Apologies to Dr. Jao—this review is for the gentleman working at the front desk of the Umbrella Health clinic. Right when I walked in, the person at the front desk asked about some freckles/discoloration I have on my lips in the middle of the office. I mentioned that I had had seen a few doctors about it already (multiple cancer screenings, biopsies etc.) but it was inconclusive.
Then during the intake he asked me again, "Ok so what's about these lip discolorations." At that point, I told tell him I wasn't even there for that reason...I was there to refill an unrelated prescription. It is so insanely unprofessional to incorrectly and publicly assume why I am present for a doctors appointment. He should be embarrassed to work as a medical professional. I will be switching medical providers.

The issue isn’t really the doctor but where he works. They are a money grab that are pushing for all these extra exams or they won’t even send your blood work to insurance for approval for meds
