He was an elected chief resident during his final year followed by an Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine affiliate St. Joseph’s University Medical Center in Patterson, New Jersey. Dr. Zakhary has earned board certification in both obstetrics and gynecology and internal medicine. Dr. Zakhary is a Clinical Assistant Professor at Orlando College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Zakhary moved to Tampa, Florida and started his private practice at Omni Medical Center for Women. Using his unique dual residency training and board cortication, he focused his practice on high-risk pregnancy. In 2004 he performed his first Robot assisted procedure, using the DaVinci robot, as one of the pioneer robot surgeons in Florida. Dr. Zakhary maintains an active membership in the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, American College of Physicians, American Medical Associations, American Board of Medical Specialties and Egyptian Medical Association. As a member of the Tampa medical community, Dr. Zakhary also served on the Surgical Review Committee at Town and Country Hospital.
