Medicine, and women's health in particular, gives me the chance to build lasting relationships with patients while guiding them through some of the biggest moments of their lives. As an ob-gyn, I am able to combine hands-on surgical skill with the kind of steady, personal care that comes from knowing my patients well. For more than 23 years, I've had the privilege of practicing right here in Beaufort County, caring for generations of families in the community I call home. I lean on advanced techniques like robotic and laparoscopic surgery to offer patients a faster recovery and less discomfort. I also value the strength of a good team; throughout my career I've worked closely with midwives, nurse practitioners and fellow physicians to make sure patients receive consistent, well coordinated care at every visit. I'm a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and board-certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. I'm proud to have been named resident of the year at Eastern Virginia Medical School and to be a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. Beyond the clinic, I've stayed connected to teaching, serving as an adjunct professor for both A.T. Still University's medical program and the Medical University of South Carolina's physician assistant program. Helping train the next generation of clinicians is a natural extension of the mentorship I received early in my own career.
