Wow. This Dr. has an attitude, oh my. When she asked me “do you take contraceptives?” I said “no” thinking she’s asking me about birth control pills. Then she said “condoms etc.?” And I replied “oh, I’m sorry, I thought you meant pills,” and her reply was “I didn’t ask you if you’re taking pills” in a super condescending way. I thought to myself “well, if you’re going to be so language specific,” and Im a foreigner, “you wouldn’t use the word “taking” for condoms.”
Who “takes” condoms? You “use” condoms. Anyway, I was happy to predict that from that moment on I was going to have a very passive-aggressive, condescending-charged appointment. And she didn’t disappoint! Most of our conversation went on to include lots of misunderstandings, and she laughed in a way that I felt somehow inferior. First time a Dr. made me feel that way. Zero positive value in her answers. All my concerns were dismissed. Bedside manner of 0 out of 10. I do not recommend.
