While I am technically a Charlotte native, I spent most of my youth in Austria and Australia. I have always loved science, and at the age of 16 I was able to start volunteering at a local rescue squad which spurred my interest in medicine. After graduating college and while applying to medical school, I worked as a medical assistant at an OB-GYN clinic. I loved this job, from the continuity of care I was able to have with patients, to assisting with office procedures. My passion for women's health only grew while I was in medical school. Nothing brought me as much joy as walking alongside patients in labor and delivering my first baby. My experiences in residency and beyond have only solidified that I have the absolute best job. I feel grateful to be excited by my work, and I feel honored to care for women through both joyful and difficult experiences. I am particularly interested in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, management of fibroids, and both low and high-risk obstetric care. I love the breadth of gynecology and being able to educate and care for women as they transition throughout life stages. I feel privileged to be trusted with my patient's most personal concerns, and my primary goal is to ensure that every patient feels heard, valued, and is appropriately cared for with evidence based medicine. On a more personal note, my husband and I got married while I was in medical school and love living in Charlotte with our Golden Retriever, Brooks. We enjoy exploring new restaurants and taking cooking classes, as well as hosting dinner parties for friends and family. We also love being outdoors; playing tennis, hiking and snow skiing keep us active and help me burn off the cheese and chocolate I was raised to love!
