Dr. Heather Bane, MD

Dr. Heather Bane, MD

OB-GYN
2100 S Tryon St, Ste 201, Charlotte, NC
Growing up as the oldest of six, I was always drawn to caring for others. That instinct eventually led me to medicine. While I initially imagined a future in pediatrics, my interest in surgery and a deep passion for women's health guided me toward obstetrics and gynecology. It is a specialty that lets me be present for some of the most meaningful moments in a patient's life. I am a board-certified ob-gyn who cares for a wide range of conditions, with particular interest in gynecologic surgery and ultrasound. My approach to care focuses on making healthcare approachable. I partner with patients to set realistic goals and expectations, while using evidence-based medicine to guide clinical decisions. At Novant Health, we believe that informed patients are empowered patients, and that belief shapes every conversation I have in the exam room. Building strong relationships with my patients matters to me. Whether we're navigating a routine visit or a more complex concern, my goal is to create an environment where you feel supported, heard and confident in your care. Outside of medicine, my husband and three daughters keep me busy and grounded. We spend as much time as we can in the mountains of North Carolina. When I'm not with family, I'm likely to be gardening, working on a craft project, listening to an audiobook or sitting down for a game of mahjong.
