Dr. Jacquelyn Stone, MD

OB-GYN
FL
The foundation of my practice is a relationship with my patients built on trust. I believe in shared decision-making. You understand your body best, and it is my job to give you the tools and information to make the best decisions for your own care. I find that many women have been "blown off" or dismissed by other physicians when discussing symptoms that are bothering them. This is why I like to take up to an hour with each new patient to make sure we have time to address each symptom and get to the bottom of what is going on. I promise that I will not stop trying to get you feeling better! I also like to look at each patient as a whole, individual person. This means taking into account body, mind, and lifestyle. I order lab testing when indicated, recommend evidence-based medications and hormone therapy, and also suggest supplements that have been shown to be effective treatment options. I may also recommend dietary and lifestyle changes as appropriate. Although I am Board Certified in Obesity Medicine, I will never push anyone to address weight as part of their care unless this is something they would like to work on. However, if this is something a patient is interested in addressing, I can help them with this. The answer to weight struggles is often not simply "eat less and exercise more" because obesity is a genetic and hormone disorder that is much more complicated than that. I earned my Doctor of Medicine from the Medical College of Georgia and completed my residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Greenville Hospital.
