About Dr. James Morgan Tucker
Dr. Tucker is a board-certified Ob-Gyn who has been with OBGYN Associates since 2020. Originally from outside Memphis, he moved to Southeast Alabama during high school and later earned his undergraduate degree from Auburn University and his medical degree from the University of South Alabama. After meeting his wife in medical school, the couple matched to residency programs at the University of Kentucky, where Dr. Tucker practiced in a rural OB-GYN group and his wife worked as a Hospitalist with the VA.
Though they enjoyed their time in Kentucky, their love for Alabama eventually brought them back to Huntsville, where Dr. Tucker joined OBGYN Associates and his wife continued her work with the VA. Together, they are raising three children and a golden doodle named Jeffrey. Outside of work, Dr. Tucker enjoys hiking, cycling, spending time with family, and exploring Mexican and Italian cuisine. A BBQ enthusiast, he takes pride in mastering ribs and brisket, drawing inspiration from his Memphis roots.
Dr. Tucker has three children, two daughters and a son. He also has a large golden doodle named Jeffrey! When he and his wife are not working, they are trying to keep up with homework, after school activities, grocery shopping, and walking the dog. Dr. Tucker loves the outdoors (hiking /cycling), spending time with his family, and he especially loves cooking! He is currently exploring Mexican and Italian cuisine. Having grown up outside of Memphis, he considers it essential to be a good BBQ pit master! He may be biased, but he considers his ribs and brisket to be the best around!

Very calm and friendly environment. Dr. Tucker listened to every word I said. I was not as scared/tense per usual due to his calmness as well as the nurse who sat in. Best experience I have ever had for a pap smear/annual.

I have heard both good and bad about the other providers in the office. However, I have only heard good things about Dr. Tucker, and all I have to say about him is good. He is a wonderful doctor. I personally think he is the best one there.

I recommend Dr. Tucker to everyone! He takes the time to sit with you to discuss any concerns and never makes you feel rushed or unheard. The usually uncomfortable annual check-ups are a breeze. Hands down the best doctor I’ve been seen.

I'm so happy to find Dr. Tucker, and he is the absolute best. He listens and cares and asks questions and permission before all things. I had to contact the office with something that is not getting better, and within 15 minutes, I had a message with all the information to do and doctor referrals thats fast. I had a call within10 minuteswith the doctor to run the test. I've neglected my health through gynecologists because of not being able to find a good one. I just hit the jackpot and can't describe the relief. If you are looking, he is 100% the best in North Alabama. He did more for me in 30 minutes than many other doctors have on years. THANK YOU, DR. TUCKER AND STAFF!!!
