Dr. Joseph Gomes is a Board-Certified Family Medicine Physician proudly serving the Northern California area where he was born and raised. After two decades in healthcare, spanning complex leadership roles, teaching, and serving as an End-of-Life Physician within some of the region's largest medical groups, Dr. Gomes has transitioned his practice to the Direct Primary Care (DPC) model.
Dr. Gomes is committed to rejecting "Cookbook Medicine" & the "big box" philosophy that prioritized profit over personalized care. By capping his patient panel size to less than a quarter of a traditional practice, Dr. Gomes ensures he has the time and freedom to focus on your interests, not the insurance company’s.

The way that Dr. Gomes practices needs to be our new standard and not the exception. Dedicated time to review medical history and ask general questions. Did not feel rushed. Great discussion and plan. He is a great educator and cares about overall health and prevention.

Dr. Gomes really took the time to hear all my concerns. I originally booked for one issue but ended up addressing several chronic concerns my previous doctors hadn’t acknowledged. He is incredibly thorough and doesn't rush. I wish I found him sooner! I’ll definitely continue seeing him as my primary physician.
