I had an annual visit with this provider and was disappointed with the experience. Although I arrived 15 minutes early, I waited over 30 minutes in the exam room undressed without communication about the delay.
It did not appear that my pre-appointment forms were reviewed. I had documented specific concerns and requested additional testing in advance and mentioned them again during the visit. However, part of the testing was not ordered until I brought it up at checkout.
I also discussed a previously diagnosed small fibroid. The conversation moved quickly toward scheduling a hysterectomy during this first visit without a thorough discussion of alternative management options. I would have appreciated a more comprehensive, patient-centered discussion before considering surgery.

All of the staff were friendly and polite. Dr. Merritt listened to the information and reviewed prior test results (from PCP) and immediately suggested an explanation for the issue which she investigated and confirmed. She then offered to do the required procedure right then rather than requiring me to make another appointment! Everything was clearly explained and over a year of wondering that was going on resolved.

This was my first time going to the gynecologist and everyone there made me feel super comfortable and explained everything to me. The staff is nice and made the experience calming and enjoyable.

Dr laura Merritt was very caring and through. She did many of the things my previous Dr never did like assess my pelvic opening which could make childbirth more difficult. Sometimes being overweight can be a point of judgement but she never made me feel judged for being overweight. It was only my first appointment with her but she actually made me feel cared for. She was also very gentle during my exams, which are usually very painful for me.
The nurse was also very sweet and attentive.
My only complaint was that the office sent me the pre-check in paper work the morning of my appointment so I had to rush to both get ready and get it all filled out. It would been better to send it the night before.
The appointment left me feeling hopeful about family planning and my reproductive health.

I was just overwhelmed by the care and genuine warmness of every member of the staff, from door to door. Dr. Merritt is a true professional and I felt so cared for and heard in my appt. I was able to get taken care of flawlessly and each of my concerns were handled before I left the office.
