Dr. Katz received both his undergraduate and medical degrees from Wayne State University. His residency was completed at Sinai Hospital of Detroit and is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology. His areas of interest include general and high-risk obstetrics, office and surgical gynecology. Dr. Katz is also specially trained for surgical therapy for urinary loss problems, minimally invasive surgery including Da Vinci robotic and laparoscopic hysterectomy as well as other alternatives to hysterectomy.

I am so happy I was able to find Dr. Katz. After relocating from Texas it has been a battle to find a new medical team in Michigan and this is by far my biggest win. He was very understanding and heard all my concerns. We were able to set up a plan on how to go about addressing each one and comforting me along the way making sure I understood all the options I have. This was my first visit but I swear I felt like I was still with my previous doctor who had seen me since I was 18 and has now retired.

The staff was prompt upon arrival, waiting in the common area seemed to be a little to inclusive to patients, being a person raised differently, and might be too much of a perfectionist. Seemed like a loss of an attempt to relieve care to step forward and discouragement, like a person outnumbered and by others, or discriminated would rather live in a society of acceptance of self then the communal fight

I’ve had bad past experiences with OBGYNs in the area (I.e they don’t communicate before they continue in the exam, not patient when the patient is uncomfortable/struggling to get through the exam).
Dr. Katz performed great communication, bed side manner, explained everything to me and ensured I had no questions before continuing, brought in a nurse for the exam, discussed each step before it happened and ensured I was comfortable.
Dr. Katz also is knowledgeable about functional medicine, and actively works to integrate it into his practice with his patients before recommending pharmaceutical medications and procedures. I admire this so much!
I left feeling great about the experience, and have no hesitation to go back to this office in the future. 10/10
