About Dr. Natalie Hammond
As an ob-gyn, I have the privilege of being part of a woman's life journey, whether that's helping a family welcome a new baby or guiding a patient through a health concern. I earned my medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, then completed both my internship and residency in obstetrics and gynecology there as well. I became board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology in 2009. After training, I joined the faculty at the Medical University of South Carolina as an assistant professor, working at East Cooper Women's Center in Mount Pleasant. Since 2013, I have practiced at East Cooper OB/GYN, also in Mount Pleasant, where I focus on general obstetrics along with advanced gynecologic laparoscopy and minimally invasive surgery. I am a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and the South Carolina Medical Association, and I have contributed to published research on preventing repeat teen pregnancy. I also value being part of a strong care team. I have served in leadership roles at East Cooper Regional Medical Center, including as OB/GYN department chair, because I believe good care depends on physicians working closely together.
