About Dr. Richard Najac
Our lead board-certified medical doctor is Dr. Richard Najac. Dr. Najac graduated from Amherst College in 1985 and earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from Cornell University Medical College in 1989. He completed his medical residency at Danbury Hospital, Danbury, CT, an affiliate of Yale University. He then completed his residency in Ophthalmology at the prestigious New York Eye and Ear Infirmary, where he also stayed for his fellowship year in Cornea, External Disease, and Refractive Surgery. Dr. Richard Najac, alongside his father, Dr. Harold Najac, has been practicing eye surgery and care with a combined experience of over 50 years.
It is our goal to deliver high-quality eye care to patients in the Queens and New York City metropolitan area.

Like others have pointed out, the wait time long (probably saw the doctor about an hour from my appointed tone). I saw his assistant first and then Dr. Najac. The doctor has a great bedside manner. He is very personable and friendly. My issue was a little problematic but he did not blow me off as some other doctors would have. He explained what he thought the problem was and the solutions he wanted to try. Such a relief going to him. Worth the wait!

Great doctor! He took the time to explain why I was having the issues I came in with & clearly explained solutions. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience with him after switching from my last doctor who would tell me nothing about my eyes after waiting about an hour. Highly recommend!
