About Dr. Salvatore Carfagno
Dr. Carfagno received his Bachelor's degree from Drexel University in June 1990, graduating with honors. He then earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in June 1995, where he received several honors and awards for academic excellence. He completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the same institution in June 2000. Dr. Carfagno is Board Certified by the American College of Osteopathic Obstetrics and Gynecology.
With over fourteen years of experience practicing OB/GYN, Dr. Carfagno opened his own practice in February 2007. He is a member of several professional organizations, including the American College of Osteopathic Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOOG), the New Jersey Association of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons, the New Jersey OB/GYN Society, the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG), and the American Osteopathic Association (AOA).
Dr. Carfagno's hospital affiliations include AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center and Shore Medical Center. His special interests include minimally invasive surgery, da Vinci robotic surgery, advanced laparoscopy, menopausal medicine, and high-risk pregnancy.
In addition to providing comprehensive OB/GYN services, Dr. Carfagno is also trained in Botox and Juvederm procedures, as well as the HCG Weight Loss program.
In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Dana, and their three children, Salvatore III, Olivia, and Sophia. He resides in Egg Harbor Township, NJ, and serves as an assistant coach for the Cape-Atlantic Fighting Eagles football team and the Egg Harbor Township Running Eagles lacrosse team.

I switched to this practice from Axia Oceanside, which I'd describe as the Hair Cuttery of ob/gyn practices---a different doc at each visit, no personal attention (and they spend about 5 mins with you), no personal follow-up. They failed to diagnose my problem twice, putting me through duplicate lab tests and never calling to explain results. My experience with Dr. Carfagno was like night and day. He spent about 20 minutes with me, doing an in-office test, explaining the results thoroughly, asking if I had any questions, and giving me a lot of info about the postmenopausal condition that I had never heard before. His office staff is very nice as well. My only caveat is that you'll wait a long time in his office; I sat on the examination table for about 40 minutes before he came in. But it's worth the wait---just be forewarned and bring something to read.

I really don’t know how he would ever get a bad review ! I’m 74 year old and he truly is the best I ever had , and extremely friendly .
