What makes you passionate about being a healthcare provider?
I love supporting others and empowering them through all walks of life, and I see myself as a partner in their healthcare. I enjoy building relationships with people, hearing their stories, and working with them along their health and wellness journey. I earned my Doctor of Medicine from Loyola University Chicago, which has shaped my approach to compassionate, patient-centered care.
In your opinion, what should be the role of a primary care provider for a patient, taking into account both physical health and behavioral health needs?
I see the role of a primary care provider as a safe haven where people can seek medical care for their physical, mental, and emotional health and well-being. Being a primary care provider means deeply listening to patients and their needs, using evidence-based medicine while also considering each patient’s personal goals and circumstances to develop a treatment plan through shared decision-making.
Tell us a little bit about yourself. What do you like to do in your spare time?
I grew up overseas and love to travel; I hold a special place in my heart for learning about other people's cultures and backgrounds. Take me outdoors hiking, foraging, kayaking, free diving in our ocean, gardening, raising chickens, and beekeeping, and I'll be a happy camper. My passion since childhood is creating art—painting, drawing, making mosaics, pottery—anything hands-on brings me joy!
