A native of Pakistan, Dr. Shazia Arain earned her medical degree from the Aga Khan University Medical College in Karachi, Pakistan. She moved to the United States in 1996 and completed her residency in Internal Medicine at the St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, Illinois, an affiliate hospital of the University of Illinois in Chicago.
Dr. Arain completed her ABIM (American Board of Internal Medicine) certification in 2000. She became certified with the American Board of Internal Medicine in 2001.
Dr. Arain relocated to the North Carolina area and joined First Care Medical Clinic in 2003. She believes in patient education, and providing compassionate care for all patients. In her spare time, Dr. Arain enjoys traveling and spending time with her family.
