About Dr. Srinivas Mutyala
Dr. Srini Mutyala is a board certified ophthalmologist and LASIK eye surgery specialist. He has been practicing in South Florida since 1998 and has performed over 100,000 LASIK eye surgery procedures. He is an experienced LASIK eye surgeon and has been recognized as one of "America's Top Ophthalmologists" by the Consumer's Research Council of America for the last 15 years in a row. His research on LASIK has been published in medical journals and has been presented to other eye surgeons at numerous national and international eye meetings, including the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology and International Society of Refractive Surgery.
After earning his medical degree through a prestigious accelerated medical program from the University of Missouri School of Medicine, Dr. Srini Mutyala completed his residency in ophthalmology at the world renowned Mayo Clinic. Soon after, Dr. Mutyala was chosen for a prominent fellowship training in laser and cornea surgery under the direction of the doctor who performed the first laser vision correction surgeries in the world, Dr. Marguerite McDonald. As a Bausch & Lomb, Allegretto, Intralase, VISX, Alcon LadarVision, Summit, and Nidek EC-5000 laser certified surgeon, he continues to stay involved in clinical research for advanced laser procedures.

On his site he advertised that he accepts Blue Shield HMO) After waiting three weeks for my schedule appointment I get there and they tell me we’re sorry we don’t accept that carrier! Really frustrating !

Very disappointed the payment was the main concern and I was given a partial exam per Dr. Mutyala because of my insurance. Then the girl at the desk when I was leaving try to charge me almost 3 times the amount I was supposed to pay and I told her that was incorrect and she said well that’s just the way we do it and I said well I’m not gonna pay that so after disappearing for a while came out and said OK pay the 20% which was correct.

Horrible. Came in for a simple eye exam and ended up paying a huge deductible because the staff neglected to tell me that although they covered Aetna Insurance, they did not cover "my kind of vision insurance". They should have told me that from the start however, they told me when I was leaving... Of course.
I also had to sign forms again even though I had sent them through ZocDoc - They lady did not know how to pull the information?
On top of everything, they forgot to give me my eye prescription at the end and had to mail... Never again.
