About Dr. Steven Weiner

I practice medication management of Anxiety, Depression, Panic Attacks, Alcohol, Weed, Gummies, Substance Abuse/Addiction, and Opioid Abuse/Addiction. I'm certified to prescribe Suboxone and similar medications. I can help you detox from Alcohol and Prescription drugs. Harm Reduction strategies assisted by appropriate medication can also be useful to cut back on Alcohol and Weed consumption. I also treat many patients who come to me taking 3, 4, or 5 medication combinations that don't make sense and where the patient isn't better, and sometimes worse, than before starting medication treatment. In these situations, I discuss the meds with the patient and then slowly decrease or eliminate one, then another and so on until we arrive at a simplified treatment that actually works to improve mood and everyday function and enjoyment. I obtained my MD from New York University School of Medicine in 1983, then completed my internship at St. Vincent's Medical Center in Manhattan, followed by residency training at New York University Elaine A. and Kenneth G. Langone Medical Center.
