About Dr. Suresh Shah
Dr. Shah is a board-certified physician in internal medicine. He completed his medical degree at Mahadevappa Rampure Medical College, earning a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery. He then completed his residency at the Catholic Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. Dr. Shah served as an ER physician from 1989 to 1993, after which he entered private practice and has continued to serve for more than 17 years. In 1993, he established his practice in Georgia with the opening of Norcross Medical Clinic on Buford Hwy. He opened his second location, Magnolia Medical Clinic, in 1999, just four miles away on Indian Trail Rd. Magnolia Medical Clinic is open seven days a week to better serve the community.

This doctor office rejected to see me at the time of my appointment. I drove an hour and even took off work early to make it to the appointment. They told me to change my PCP at the time of my appointment and they stated that after I change it I would have to wait a month to be seen. Even though I spoke with a receptionist twice to reschedule my appointment and I included my insurance prior to making the appointment to make sure I was in network they still didn’t care enough to ask about my insurance BEFORE my appointment. I have never had an issue with any other doctor office. I have seen other doctors who were not on my insurance card and they have never asked me to change my PCP and if they needed me to then it would make more sense to contact me instead of making me come into the office and turning me away. They were also careless and rude and gave me bland answers and did not care one bit. This place needs to be shut down!! Very very upsetting!

As a black woman we are often overlooked when it comes to proper medical care. I originally went in April for concerns with head and chest pains. My tests were normal. I returned in June as symptoms worsened. I asked if it was ok for Dr Shah to put me in for a CT scan and MRI at the hospital. He told me “there is no need” “my job is done here” “out of the 30+ years of doing medicines it just sounds like you’re having stress, anxiety and depression” . My husband and I were instantly saddened to see how careless Dr. Shah was and how quick he diagnosed me with something without thoroughly evaluating if these things were the case. I also asked for him to run tests again while I was there and I’d pay out of pocket. He declined and said no because he had just ran tests in April. This was by far the worst experience ever. Thankfully I was able to seek proper care and the issue was identified. This man needs to retire. The board will be contacted.

Dr. Shah's practice has been a key element in keeping up with several different health issues. It is great to have a consistent staff and Doctor that knows you well. I was concerned about transient nurses due to the overall medical situation in Georgia. I am pleased to report that I have only seen additions to staff, and no attrition as far as I can see.
Make an appointment and I feel you will agree with me that Dr. Shah and Magnolia Medical Center is perfect for long term, completely comprehensive care.

Dr. Suresh is fantastic. Don't be fooled by the formal seeming exterior - he's personable, approachable, caring, and actually a very funny guy. Expect to wait a bit for his appointments, but if you are willing to see one of his great PA's you can be in and out quickly.
I would never NOT wait for the good doctor himself. It's part of my entertainment and social life to be included in his rounds. The best part is that the care is second to none.

Once you get taken, Dr. Shah is remarkable! If the waiting room looks crowded, don't worry. You get taken quickly. They are very well staffed.

Dr. Shah is my favorite Doctor! I have some health issues so unfortunately know many Docs and in 50 years have not had one as funny, caring, or accommodating. His practice is stunningly busy, but efficient. When you get your time with him, toss him something weird. Example let him know you waited too long and ask him for an ashtray or a mixed drink. You will immediately see the sense of humor this man has. It translate to great care!

What an amazing experience. Dr. Shah has built a fantastic, state of the art facility while maintaining a family feel for the patients. The staff was great, the Doctor was fantastic, thorough, amicable, listened to all my concerns, and addressed all my needs. He is a rare breed among Internal Medicine in that he is truly nice, very funny, and just good people.
My only complaint is that no matter how many times I asked Sucy for an ashtray she would no budge. So I don't care how good she was at taking my blood etc, next time I would like an ashtray! Oh - and some cookies and Orange Juice!
