Dr. Fonville earned his Doctor of Medicine degree at the University of Illinois, Chicago. He pursued an internship at St. Michael's Hospital after which he completed residency training in Internal Medicine at Metropolitan Hospital Center in Manhattan and at Lincoln Medical and Mental Health Center in the Bronx. He is currently affiliated with the Mt. Sinai Medical Center of New York.
Patients visit Dr. Fonville for a host of reasons: from anxiety-depression, ADHD, insomnia, skin rashes, high cholesterol, chest and abdominal pain, joint pain, diabetes, and high blood pressure to STDs, HIV, PrEP and DOXY-PEP. He believes that sound medical judgment, EVIDENCE-based medicine, and clear communication are the best combination of attributes that can lead to the best outcomes for patients. In his spare time, he studies piano and has composed exactly one short piano piece. He is a tennis enthusiast and he likes movies.
