Hello, I'm Aaron J. Kimble, and I'm here to support you on your journey to mental wellness. As a licensed clinical therapist associate, I bring a holistic approach to healing that encompasses the body, mind, and spirit. My therapeutic methods include cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and emotionally focused therapy, all aimed at helping individuals, couples, and families achieve their mental health goals. I specialize in addressing a variety of concerns, including anger management, antisocial behavior, anxiety, depression, family relationships, grief and bereavement, intimate and romantic relationships, LGBTQIA+ support, multicultural and diversity issues, narcissistic personality disorder, OCD, PTSD, sex and intimacy issues, spirituality, stress, and trauma. With over 7,000 hours of clinical experience, I am well-equipped to guide you through your unique challenges. My educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from LSU, an MBA in Management from AIU-Atlanta, a PhD in Organizational Leadership from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, and a Master of Arts in Counseling Therapy from Northwestern University. As a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, I am committed to providing high-quality care and fostering a safe, supportive environment for my clients. In addition to my clinical work, I co-host a monthly podcast where I discuss sociopolitical, economic, and mental health topics. This platform allows me to explore and share insights on issues that matter deeply to me and my clients. Outside of my professional life, I enjoy watching and participating in sports, reading, traveling, exercising, writing, hiking, and spending time with my family. I'm currently reading 'The Angry Therapist' by John Kim, and some of my favorite books include 'The Alchemist' by Paulo Coelho, 'Giovanni's Room' and 'The Fire Next Time' by James Baldwin, 'The Color Purple' by Alice Walker, and 'Sister Outsider' by Audre Lorde. I also love listening to podcasts like Brene Brown's 'Unlocking Us,' 'The Audio Sex Party,' 'Sex with Dr. Jess,' and 'The Undressing Room.' I believe in the mantra of working hard and playing hard, and I strive to bring this balance into my therapeutic practice.
