Getting to know Aaron Landry

Hi there, I'm Aaron! I am a highly experienced therapist with a Master's in Social Work from the University of Maine. My goal is to provide a supportive space for people to get well. I want the patients I work with to leave my practice feeling understood and valued. I have worked with depression, anxiety, parenting, relationships, and many other issues. My approach I am a generalist-based practitioner and will adapt the approach to best suit what works for those I work with. I have used CBT, MI, mindfulness, RBT, narrative, solution-focused, and patient-centered approaches. My focus I have worked with clients who are struggling with ADHD, anxiety, and depression. I have successfully worked with parenting challenges, relationship challenges, and everyday stressors. My communication style I do my best to create a warm and welcoming environment. I am very down to earth, and I believe that humor aids in healing. I like to listen to best understand what is happening for people, and then work collaboratively to see if we can team up on solutions to create improvement. My journey to mental healthcare I chose to become a therapist because I believe in helping people be the best version of themselves. I am still driven to do this work because I love connecting with people and seeing them get well, become unburdened, and live their best life. My goals for you I believe that goal setting is a collaborative approach that allows us to create a ladder to ultimately reach the outcome that my client has identified as a priority in their life. My first session with you During the first session, I like to take a few moments to understand what brought the individual to counseling, what their expectations are of therapy, and to explain the assessment process.
