Getting to know Aaron Turner

More and more of my of my clients are seeking help with anxiety, depression, with difficulty following some type of trauma, or maybe they are feeling hurt or damaged in some way. Unfortunately, this is a product of the culture in which we live. I have worked extensively in the area of trauma and abuse, including work with members of the LGBTQ community as well as transgender individuals who may or may not be in transition. Dealing with unresolved stress, hurt, anger, frustration and more can set us on a more stable path toward healthy relationships. This is always the goal. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and hold an MA in Counseling. I hope to provide a safe space for clients to work quickly, moving on a solution focused path so that they can begin to feel a forward momentum. I work to accomplish these goals utilizing Acceptance and Commitment Therapy with its cognitive element and warm Mindfulness component to help keep clients centered. I also use Existential Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing.
