Getting to know Abeke Baker
Abeke Kay Baker, LMFT, is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and a 2011 graduate of Mercer University School of Medicines Masters program in Marriage and Family Therapy. With a career in mental health and social services that began at just 14 years old, Abeke brings over 18 years of handson experience to her work. She began as a youth counselor with the Red Cross Lock Key Kids safety program and has since served in diverse roles, including Program Director for Howard County Parks and Recreation in Columbia, MDsupporting youth and young adults with developmental disabilities, autism, and maladaptive behaviorsas well as working in inpatient crisis stabilization settings for both adolescents and adults.

Abeke is the founder of All 1 Family, Inc., a nonprofit community mental health organization based in Atlanta, GA. The organization is dedicated to supporting the mental wellness of LGBTQ individualsespecially people of colorby offering a safe, affirming space for clients to explore their identities and experiences with the support of culturally competent therapists. All 1 Family provides lowcost counseling services, including individual, family, group, and couples therapy. The cliniciansmany of whom identify as LGBTQ or allies of colorbring lived experience and deep empathy to their work.
Founders Statement
While working across inpatient and communitybased mental health settingsproviding crisis intervention, assessments, and psychotherapyI noticed a troubling pattern many LGBTQ individuals were seeking support but struggled to find providers who were affirming, empathetic, and nonjudgmental. This gap often led individuals to delay or forgo muchneeded care. All 1 Family was born from the belief that everyone deserves a safe space to be seen, heard, and supported.

More information on payments and coverage
Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
