Getting to know Abigail Aron

I am a graduate student at Adler University and currently serve as an intern therapist at Clarity Clinic. I speak both English and Spanish (with fluent, though not native, proficiency) and my training includes trauma-informed care, art therapy, and culturally responsive practices. I take a holistic, systems-based approach to care—one that recognizes how relationships, physical health, family dynamics, career, identity, creativity, and community all play a role in mental and emotional well-being. I am passionate about the connection between mind and body, and value practices like mindfulness, breathwork, meditation, yoga, exercise, tai chi, clean eating, and other body-based tools that support emotional regulation and holistic healing. As an art therapy intern, I integrate creative expression into the therapeutic process to help clients explore their emotions and foster healing beyond talk therapy. My personal art practice includes working with chalk, charcoal, conté, clay, oil, watercolor, and acrylic, as well as other traditional art forms. I also embrace nontraditional creative outlets based on client interests - such as gardening, creative writing, sculpture, woodwork, jewelry-making, and more—recognizing that creativity shows up differently for everyone. Whether clients are seasoned artists or just beginning their creative journey, I strive to make art therapy accessible, affirming, and attuned to each person’s form of expression. My clinical interests include trauma, PTSD, emotional abuse, ADHD, relationship issues, women’s health, and challenges related to identity and life transitions. I am especially passionate about supporting clients navigating self-esteem, social anxiety, PMS/PMDD, and interpersonal dynamics.
