What should a new client know about working with you?

I work with Couples seeking Marital or Premarital support, Women navigating health issues, along with Teens, and Individuals with Eating Disorders. My passion is to help couples like yourself, re-establish a strong foundation for your relationship to flourish, so you can start enjoying each other again. This looks like helping you learn to manage finances together, increase effective communication, raise children from different perspectives, or see eye-to-eye on household chores and divvying up responsibilities. I also work with couples who may be navigating betrayal and how to re-establish trust with each other, or trauma from childhood that comes out during conflict.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I can help you learn how to have more control over your emotions, increase communication skills, or engage in conflict in healthier ways. I can also help you process your thoughts, feelings, and experiences, so you can gain more insight and understanding of yourself. I tailor my approach to you, your needs, and your goals. If you prefer to process and talk through your challenges, I can be a listening ear and provide feedback to help you, as you connect the dots in your life. If you prefer action, I can help teach you behavioral approaches to make changes in your thoughts, actions, and feelings. When meeting with couples, I typically meet with you two together for a 90 minute appointment, where I can really assess the two of you together, and get a better understanding of pain points in your relationship. I then meet with each of you individually during a 50 minute appointment, each. Our next time meeting is another 90 minute appointment where I will provide feedback on what I have learned from each of you as individuals, and as a couple, so we can start to work on the areas that have been struggles in your relationship. With individuals, I will meet with you for a 50 minute appointment, and I will guide our time with questions, so I can get a better understanding of who you are and how I can best support you. If you come in with something already on your heart and mind, I am happy to start there! Again, I am meeting you where you are at, because we are working on YOUR goals.
