Hi there, I'm Abigail! Hello! I am Abbie, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Doctor of Social Work. I earned my Master’s in Social Work from the University of New England. My approach to therapy is holistic. I focus on working with folks who have experienced trauma and are having a tricky time navigating those experiences. My approach I bring an eclectic mix to each session, understanding therapy is never a “one size fits all” practice. I smoothly transition from one modality to the next, depending on your needs. I commonly pull from CBT and DBT, incorporating motivational interviewing and using empowerment as a cornerstone. I believe you are the expert of yourself, and I help guide you as you discover the best version of you. My focus I am comfortable working with clients who come with complex concerns. I have helped folks with depression, anxiety, attention issues, bipolar disorder, PTSD, and borderline personality disorder. My communication style I want you to be comfortable in session. I help by holding clear boundaries, being a sounding board, and offering gentle encouragement as you navigate challenges. My journey to mental healthcare Being a therapist is a calling. Since childhood, I was a caretaker and loved talking to people. Enlisting in the US Navy made me aware of mental health disparities. After earning my MSW, I decided to pursue my Doctorate in Social Work. What keeps me loving my work are the amazing experiences watching clients progress as they overcome barriers and achieve a life they are proud of.
