Abby earned her Bachelor's degree from the University of Illinois, Champaign Urbana, and completed her Master's in Social Work at New York University. She gained her clinical training at Bellevue Hospital, focusing on geriatric psychiatry and working with older adults and their caregivers around diagnoses in older age, co-occurring neurocognitive disorders, and medical conditions affecting mental health. Since working in private practice, Abby has connected with young adults experiencing distress during various life transitions such as pregnancy, career changes, and interpersonal relationships. She uses a mix of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Psychodynamic modalities to address present-day issues and symptoms while processing how they developed over the years of your life. Abby is also a Certified Clinical Supervisor in New Jersey and New York, supervising and mentoring social workers in the mental health field who are working toward their LCSW licensure. Outside of work, you can find Abby enjoying music, football (DA BEARS!), good eats, and traveling when she can find a babysitter.
