Getting to know Ada Rodriguez

Therapy for women navigating perimenopause, menopause, PMDD, and PCOS — in English and Spanish If you've been told your symptoms are just stress, just hormones, just something to get through, you already know how isolating that is. I work with women whose moods and bodies have stopped feeling predictable, and who are tired of being handed a coping tip and sent on their way. We work on both — what helps this week, and the patterns underneath it. My approach combines Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and somatic work, so change happens in your body and not only in your understanding. I also work with women facing depression, anxiety, family conflict, and major life transitions. I'm Ada Rodríguez. As a first-generation immigrant, I know what it is to hold two worlds at once and to be the person everyone else leans on. I hold a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from National Louis University. Sessions available in English or Spanish.

What should a new client know about working with you?

In a first session I'll ask what's been happening in your body, not just in your head — how you're sleeping, when the dread shows up, what your week actually looks like. Most of the women I work with have been managing on their own for a long time and have gotten very good at functioning while feeling terrible. We start there. You'll leave with something you can use — a way to interrupt a spiral, a way to settle your system when it's already going. That's the practical half. The other half is slower: understanding why these patterns took hold, and what it would take to stop performing "fine" for everybody else. I draw on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, somatic work, and humanistic therapy. I don't run anyone through a protocol — what we use depends on what you bring.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

First session. I want the whole picture: how you're sleeping, what your mood does across the month, when the irritability spikes, what you've already tried, and who else is on your care team. Most women I see have been dismissed at least once before they got here, so we take the time. Next few sessions. We map the pattern. For a lot of women there's a rhythm to it — a stretch where everything feels manageable and a stretch where it doesn't — and seeing it laid out is often the first real relief. We build two or three tools you can actually reach for in the hard week. Ongoing. Some of this is practical: interrupting the spiral, protecting your sleep, setting boundaries when your capacity has genuinely changed. Some of it is slower — grief about a body that isn't behaving the way it used to, and the identity questions that come with that. To be clear about my lane: I don't treat hormones. I work alongside your OB/GYN or primary care provider, on what living with this is doing to your mood, your relationships, and your sense of who you are. If you don't have that medical support in place yet, I'll help you find it.

In-network insurances

Ada Rodriguez, MS is not in-network with any insurances

It’s common for mental health providers to be out-of-network. Many insurance plans offer out-of-network coverage, so you may get partially reimbursed. Learn more

Out-of-pocket fees and assistance
Initial session: $125 for 60 minutes
Ongoing session: $145 for 60 minutes
  • Sliding scale: Offers lower out-of-pocket fees on an individual basis, typically based on your ability to pay
  • Files your insurance claim: You pay the session fee upfront and the provider files the claim for you, so you can get reimbursed directly without worrying about the paperwork

More information on payments and coverage

Rates. Sessions are $125–$145. We accept all major credit cards, and HSA and FSA cards — therapy is an eligible expense under most plans, so if you've set that money aside, you can use it here. Insurance. We're in-network with Optum/United through November 6, 2026. After that we're out of network with all plans. We provide a superbill after every session that you can submit to your insurer for out-of-network reimbursement — many plans reimburse a meaningful portion. Why we work this way. Insurance requires us to give you a diagnosis, and it can limit how often we meet, how long we work together, and what approach we're allowed to use. Paying directly means the plan is yours and your therapist's to make, and your record stays between the two of you. If cost is a concern, bring it up on your consult call. We have payment plans, and if we're not the right financial fit we'll point you to providers and low-cost options we trust.

I want to thank my therapist for all the support and patience they have shown me. From the very beginning, they made me feel heard and understood—something that isn't always easy to find. Each session has helped me understand myself better and handle difficult situations in a much healthier way. It is clear that they genuinely care about their patients' well-being and create an environment where one can speak with confidence, without feeling judged. I am deeply grateful for the progress I have made thanks to their help. Highly recommended.

Her compassionate approach, genuine listening, and insightful guidance have made a significant difference in my mental and emotional well-being. Ada creates a safe, welcoming space where I feel truly heard and understood, and her ability to balance empathy with practical strategies has been invaluable to my healing journey. She is highly skilled, professional, and deeply committed to helping her clients grow and thrive. I wholeheartedly recommend Ada to anyone seeking thoughtful, effective support for their mental health.
Very unprofessional, I booked an appointment and was not reached out to at all. I called the office about 8 times from 6:20-7:25; for reference my appointment was at 6:45. Do not book with her last minute I guess? I booked my appointment at 2pm for a same day that would've been at 6:45pm. Dissatisfied but god forgives
