Welcome! I'm so glad you're here. When we understand more about WHY we keep doing the things that harm ourselves or others (inside our minds or outward with our behaviors), we gain more control over these thoughts and actions, and ultimately we can change. I'm guessing you know life can be better because it has been, but you're struggling now and feel an urgency to address your challenges so you may feel more joy, connection, and peace. Finding a therapist who gets you is such an important step. I took a circuitous route to this counseling career. My approach is informed by my life experience, including a background in theater, teaching, public speaking, parenting, voracious reading, and a lifelong love of learning. I hold a MEd in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Indiana University, South Bend. I work with a wide variety of adults, including those with complex trauma, anxiety, mood disorders, attachment wounding, perinatal challenges, and survivors of interpersonal violence and narcissistic abuse. I am eager and unafraid to quickly get to the heart of what bothers clients most so that right away there can be some relief from the worry, unrest, pain, or suffering. Therapy brings insight, hope, tools for change, and a reliable space to be held accountable to one's most dear priorities. It will be my honor to do this work with you.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My clients generally feel welcomed, respected, seen, validated and encouraged to go deeper. I've been told that I wear my heart on my sleeve. I’m not a blank slate, and I'm willing to take risks and ask hard questions. I'm a good and curious listener, but I don’t withhold feedback that could be helpful. Sessions are collaborative, so I'll check in with you often and, from the beginning, cultivate a brave and creative environment that allows you to get what you truly need. I believe you are ultimately the expert in you, and since I live and breathe mental health, I have quite a bit to share that can help you feel more confident and adept in honing that expertise. Beyond talking and listening, sessions may include exploratory activities to help you access deeper self-knowledge. Resources are provided when wanted.

In-network insurances

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
