What is your typical process for working with clients?

As an emotional regulation therapist with professional expertise and lived experience as a neurodivergent person, I provide a compassionate, practical, and neurodiversity-affirming approach to ADHD-related challenges. A typical session is collaborative and individualized. We begin by checking in on how you’ve been feeling, what has been happening since our last session, and any current challenges or successes. Together, we identify patterns, triggers, emotional responses, and underlying needs. We then focus on a specific goal or concern and practice practical strategies for emotional regulation, distress tolerance, communication, boundaries, impulse control, and problem-solving. Sessions may include reflection, skill-building, psychoeducation, and developing strategies you can apply between sessions. We end by identifying key takeaways and a manageable step to practice before our next session. The goal is not to eliminate difficult emotions, but to help you better understand yourself, regulate your responses, and navigate life with greater intention and self-trust.
