Adam Ayala, LMHC

Psychotherapist
MA
Just about everyone continuously fails at their romantic relationships. I have seen men and women stop their lives, not able to work or enjoy anything, because of a divorce or break-up. The pain and hell of a break-up can stop so many of us in our tracks. Knowing this caused a drive in me to understand why this happens and how to make sure you do not become another statistic or live in that carousel of one bad relationship after another. I help people break out of unconscious beliefs and stop them from lying to themselves about their problems by becoming healthy narcissists. “Narcissist” is such a bad word in modern times but being healthy ones allows people to embrace the strengths to create and invest in the lives that they want instead of falling victim to the lives they feel destined to have.

What should a new client know about working with you?

There are no quick fixes and no ability to do nothing and find that satisfying love or get to the point of being able to love yourself and your partner. We will create a partnership and work on the hard questions that you have been avoiding. We’ll look at questions like: Do you need to break up with who you're with now? What part of your last relationship falling apart was on you? We’ll then start to understand what your hell-life would look like if you treated yourself as you treat yourself now. In detail, we'll understand your worst-life scenario. We’ll do the same for your heaven. In detail, we'll understand your best-life scenario. We’ll make sure you're geared and driven toward investing in your best-life scenario. It sounds easy but it’s not. You can still choose to do it.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I don't push my core values onto other people. I don't know what the most constructive life is for you. I work with you to understand what that is through your own words, thoughts, experiences, and feelings. Then we go get it.
