I specialize in shame, anger, and feeling out of control. Often, my clients struggle with issues related to sex, substances, gambling, or other behaviors that involve secrecy. Much of my work also involves issues related to sexual trauma. I am an author and researcher and work as an expert witness on cases related to sexual violence. I am also full-time faculty in the School of Social Work at Hunter College, City University of New York. My research and publications can be found on my faculty page on the school's website. I am licensed in New Jersey, New York, Massachusetts, Illinois, and Washington. If you do not live in one of these states, I am unable to see you for psychotherapy. I do not accept insurance, although many of my clients are eligible for out-of-network reimbursement from their insurance providers.
