Adam Cerami, LCSW

Psychotherapist
122 S Olsen Ave, Unit 110, Tucson, AZ
Hi, my name is Adam Cerami and I am a licensed trauma-focused psychotherapist located in Tucson, AZ. I grew up in northern New Jersey, where I received my BA with a double major in Rhetoric and Gender, Sexuality, and Women’s Studies from Montclair State University in 2015. I moved to Tucson in 2016, where I began running a behavioral health program for the largest domestic abuse center in southern Arizona. In the years since, I have worked with both survivors and perpetrators of violence towards repairing their lives and improving the patterns that inform their relationships. I received my Masters in Social Work from Arizona State University in 2021 and have been practicing trauma-informed cognitive behavioral therapy ever since. I have worked with clients from many different backgrounds regarding a broad range of issues. I tend to develop long term, transformational relationships with my clients that carry them through major life transitions. I love to work with those who are eager to upgrade their life and conquer self-actualization. I understand that issues of trauma and abuse are far more complex than our society is often equipped to validate. If you have found yourself isolated from loved ones due to a rocky relationship history, I understand. If you find yourself hurting or being hurt by your loved ones and desperately want a change, I understand. If you are tired of being misunderstood and want off of the roller coaster you’ve been stuck on, I can help show you the path. My goal is to help improve the quality of your life — whatever that may mean. I greatly look forward to the honour and privilege of sharing your story.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Are you looking to improve your self-esteem, considering important life decisions, or finally ready to overcome your trauma? I would consider it an honor to accompany you in discovering the truest and most whole version of yourself. While many people are struggling with depression and anxiety from an abundance of stressors, these symptoms do not need to define your life. There is no one-size-fits-all approach to improving mental health because your life is entirely unique. I am excited to build a partnership with you to identify the goals that will improve your quality of life and then pursue them. I am an experienced Clinical Social Worker whose work is heavily rooted in trauma-informed care. I specialize in CBT with elements of TF-CBT, Mindfulness, and IFS as needed. If you are struggling with your important relationships or wanting to break the patterns you've been stuck in, I would love to help you level up your life. I have experience working with ages 16 to 75+ from diverse backgrounds, with particular focus on trauma, stress management, relationship issues, LGBTQ, anxiety, and depression. I also specialize in CBT through the lens of Jewish values for interested clients. Please feel free to reach out to decide for yourself if I am the right therapist to suit your needs.
