Getting to know Dr. Adam Gerszberg

Managing complex emotions and past traumas can be challenging, especially when trying to balance the difficulties of everyday life. It can often feel overwhelming to address these feelings on your own, though not addressing them can be even more painful. In my practice, I help clients work through their challenges and become more aware of their patterns and thought processes. I provide an empathetic and affirming space that allows clients to feel comfortable tackling their issues, while also challenging them to look beyond the obvious and recognize damaging behaviors. I hold a PhD in Clinical Social Work and a Master's in Social Work from Yeshiva University, as well as a Bachelor's degree from Ramapo College of New Jersey.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I believe that you are the expert of your own life, and that no matter the circumstances, you can overcome your struggles with some guidance and support. Despite what you may be facing, we will work together to address your feelings and help you discover more about who you are.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I work with a variety of individuals and diagnoses, though I specialize in therapy with teenagers, young adults, and working adults. Through my years of experience as a therapist in a variety of settings, utilizing a variety of modalities, I have the ability to tailor the treatment I provide to the specific individual. Required intake paperwork will be sent via email that needs to be completed prior to session to start.
