Adam Heldibridle, LCSW

Psychotherapist
UT
I am Adam Heldibridle, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker here in Utah County, Utah, currently working with clients statewide. I consider myself a Rogerian, emotionally focused therapist. Although I have focused extensively on working with both trauma and bipolar disorder, I work with a wide variety of issues such as substance abuse, anxiety, depression, stress and anger management, and autism spectrum disorder, to mention just a few. I earned my Master’s in Social Work from Arizona State University, which laid the foundation for my clinical practice and ongoing professional development. My approach to therapy varies largely based on the needs of the individual client I am working with. Regarding trauma work, I am certified in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) and trained in both Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Internal Family Systems (IFS). Additionally, I am experienced in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and both Narrative and Attachment Theory. I believe my style and approach are a good fit for those in emerging adulthood (18-29), who may be dealing with the challenges of life transitions and social pressures, as well as young and middle adulthood (30-45), who might be struggling with anxiety, depression, stress, or the traumas that many find themselves carrying and burdened by. I hope to help my clients navigate these struggles and transitions and to identify and build skills that allow them to better manage their lives and challenges. I hope my clients find my communication style relaxed, attentive, and personable. I want my clients to feel comfortable talking with me about anything. I believe strongly in the Rogerian concept of unconditional positive regard and listening without judgment. My journey to mental healthcare began in October 2003 after finishing Associate’s degrees in both criminal justice and criminal sciences.
