Psychotherapist
KY
Hi there, I'm Addison! I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in Kentucky and Florida. I have worked in mental health my entire adult career, and for the past 12 years, I have been a licensed therapist. I earned my MEd in Counseling from Lindsey Wilson College. I work with adults struggling with trauma (past or recent), depression, anxiety, career decisions, adjusting to new situations, and many other mental health issues. My approach I aim to create a trusting, relaxed session with open discussion. I have a variety of modalities and choose the one that fits best for each client. I recently became trained as an EMDR therapist. I use Cognitive Behavior Therapy and other modalities that suit my clients' personalities and goals. My focus As a licensed therapist, I provide a supportive, compassionate space for healing. I work primarily with adults facing trauma, depression, anxiety, career decisions, adjusting to new situations, and other mental health challenges. My communication style My style is warm, nonjudgmental, and empathetic. Clients often build a working relationship with me within the first visits. I listen actively and reflect on what I hear, helping you explore your thoughts and feelings deeply. I may ask questions to guide our conversation or gently challenge patterns or beliefs to encourage growth and self-awareness. My journey to mental healthcare I believe becoming a therapist is part of my calling and God’s purpose for my life. From a young age, I felt a deep desire to help others navigate struggles, and through prayer and reflection, I understood this work is how I am meant to serve.
