Hi! I’m Adiba, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master’s in Social Work from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, and a Bachelor’s from Delaware State University. I work with clients from various walks of life who experience depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, self-harm, relationship problems, emotional difficulties, and other issues. I utilize the Person-Centered Approach to tailor treatment to your individualized needs. Therapy is work, and we will work together to explore experiences, develop coping skills, and gain an overall better understanding and sense of self.
What should a new client know about working with you?
Everyone experiences mental health and emotional disturbances in some point in their lives. One of the worse parts about these disturbances is that most people suffer alone because they believe that they are the outliers or that they are alone. I am here to tell you that you do not have to suffer alone. You can take charge of your life. Therapy is work. I will work alongside you to develop the tools needed so that you may feel empowered to make the necessary changes in your life.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
Introduction to therapy, HIPAA, Privacy information, rapport building, finding out expectations and develop goals for treatment, work towards treatment goals utilizing modalities that are tailored to the client's needs.
