I’m Aditi Rai, LMHC-D, and the founder of Aura of Hope Psychotherapy, a New York–based telehealth practice supporting adults navigating anxiety, self-doubt, and the lasting impact of family and relational wounds. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with clients from diverse backgrounds who are ready to understand themselves more deeply and create meaningful change. I care deeply about creating a space that feels safe, genuine, and free of judgment. Clients often describe me as warm, grounded, and easy to talk to. My role is to help you feel seen and supported as we explore what’s been heavy—while helping you reconnect with your inner strength, confidence, and capacity for healing.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My approach to therapy is deeply personal and collaborative. I integrate cognitive, mindfulness, and attachment-based approaches to help you connect with both insight and embodied awareness. I honor your unique story and pace, offering reflections and guidance with openness and curiosity. I listen to understand, help you make meaningful connections, and gently challenge patterns that may be keeping you stuck. Homework is always optional—tailored to your needs and designed to support growth between sessions.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Your first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and begin exploring what’s been feeling heavy or unclear. We’ll talk about what brings you to therapy, what you hope to gain, and what has or hasn’t worked for you in the past. You can expect a calm, supportive space where you’re encouraged to show up as yourself—no pressure, no pretense. Together, we’ll start identifying the patterns and experiences that shape your present and set intentions for the work ahead.

Aditi is an excellent therapist who gives great insight and thoughtful advice on handling a wide range of issues. Sessions usually end with me feeling I'm better equipped to handle my stressors. Aditi is such an excellent provider. She is so dedicated towards her clients well being and will go above and beyond for them. There were times when I was doing really poorly and Aditi recommended we ramp up our sessions. She was so willing to go the extra notch for me.
