Getting to know Adrian Campa

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC #71079) who lives and works in the Greater Houston Area. I attended Texas State University-San Marcos where I obtained a master's degree in professional counseling. I am licensed by the Texas State Board of Examiners of Professional Counselors. I have worked across inpatient, outpatient, and agency settings with individual teens, adults, parents, couples, and families. I have trained in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and motivational interviewing (MI), but also use a variety of techniques from other therapy styles to reduce psychological pain related to sadness, stress, and anxiety. I have completed Level 2 Training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I have dedicated my life to mental health and the helping profession. I think I have much I can offer you in terms of a holistic approach to therapy that puts you in the driver seat, and a non-judgmental safe space to discuss any problem you wish to bring into the office. I am no stranger to tapping into my own personal reservoir of kindness and compassion when it comes to helping my clients. At heart, I am an existentialist who believes in chasing down meaning and purpose. I believe in living a full life, and to me that means not getting stuck staring into the abyss, but stepping over it. I one-hundred percent believe that we have to create the things we want out of life, and that we totally can. I was born and raised in the Houston area by immigrant parents from Colombia and Mexico. I live with my wonderful wife, two ginger cats, and an eager puppy who supports me in my endeavors as a therapist, entrepreneur, and human being. Outside of my work, I enjoy spending time with my family, photography, reading, and dabbling in yoga, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
