Getting to know Adriana Beck

Adriana Beck is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a passion for helping others achieve emotional wellness. She holds a master’s degree in Professional Counseling and School Counseling from Amberton University. As a former member of the National Gymnastics Team for her home country, Venezuela, she experienced firsthand the importance of balancing mental and physical health. Those years as an elite athlete taught her that emotions and mindset play a decisive role in performance, beyond physical preparation. Success is a combination of mental, emotional, and physical health. Before becoming a counselor, she was a high school teacher, where her passion to help others and understand their journeys, emotions, and struggles began to grow. She continues to enjoy working with adolescents and adults in individual and group settings to help improve their quality of life. Adriana offers bilingual (English/Spanish) counseling services in a safe, nonjudgmental environment where clients can explore their true selves. She believes every client is unique and brings their own story to counseling; therefore, she provides a platform for growth physically, mentally, and emotionally by implementing various counseling theories and techniques tailored to each individual’s needs and goals. She also remains involved in the world of gymnastics by judging all levels of club gymnastics, NCAA, and international competitions.

I offer you a supportive, warm, non-judgmental environment to overcome the barriers that keep you from achieving your goals and becoming who you want to be.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I start by building a strong therapeutic relationship and assessing the client's situation. We will begin setting goals collaboratively, implementing interventions, and then planning for termination and follow-up. I put this plan into effect by active listening, showing empathy, and tailoring my approach to the individual needs of each client.
