What should a new client know about working with you?

My training as a family systems therapist drives me to see problems systemically and help clients identify strengths, resources, and solutions. I enjoy working with couples and adults confronted by interpersonal challenges within their families and intimate relationships. I believe that helping clients dig deep and recognize emotional wounds can help them understand how current relationships trigger those scars. I will encourage you to address relationship patterns, replace unhealthy coping methods, and develop effective emotional responses that promote self-healing and fulfilling relationships.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

To know if we're a good match, we can arrange a free phone call to briefly engage and discuss your focus for therapy and get to know one another. If we are a good fit, we can schedule our first session! I hope to help you feel safe, heard, and validated. I prefer having a central focus for therapy while we slowly expand on understanding other areas of your life. I may use homework or interactive interventions to help move you to deeper reflection. My therapeutic approach is a combination of empathic validation and gentle yet firm pushes to break through resistance and create change.
