Life can bring seasons that feel demanding, uncertain, or simply difficult to navigate alone. You may be managing anxiety, relationship concerns, trauma, graduate school stress, the impact of domestic or sexual violence, or the unique demands of military life. Therapy can offer a space to better understand what you are experiencing and identify practical ways to move forward. I am Dr. Adrianne Jackson Weaver, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker providing teletherapy from a strengths-based perspective. My approach begins with meeting you where you are and recognizing the strengths, experiences, and resources you already bring to the process. There is no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy, so our work will be shaped by your needs, goals, and circumstances. I work with adults, couples, families, children, active-duty military personnel, veterans, and graduate students. My professional experience includes higher education, K-12 public school systems, and the Department of Defense, giving me a broad perspective on the ways personal, family, educational, and professional experiences can affect emotional well-being. I also hold a PhD in Higher Education Policy, with research focused on campus sexual assault policy. My goal is to help you strengthen coping skills, gain perspective, and create meaningful change at a pace that feels realistic for you. Seeking support can be an important step toward changing the narrative of your current situation, and I look forward to working alongside you.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I bring experience across clinical practice, education, and military settings, which allows me to understand clients from multiple perspectives. My style is supportive, strengths-based, and practical. I will meet you where you are, help you identify what is getting in the way, and work with you to develop strategies that support your goals. You can expect therapy to be collaborative and individualized. I do not believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. Together, we will build on your existing strengths, explore patterns that may be affecting you, and identify realistic steps toward meaningful change.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My goal is to meet you where you are and work with you to identify what you would like to change or strengthen through therapy. In our early sessions, we will focus on understanding your concerns, experiences, and goals so that our work feels relevant to your life. From there, we will build on your strengths, explore patterns that may be affecting you, and develop practical strategies to support progress. I believe therapy should be collaborative, flexible, and tailored to the individual, so we will continue to check in on what is working and adjust our approach as needed.
