Getting to know Aimée Dale-Lucius

Hi there, I'm Aimée! Hello! My name is Aimée Dale-Lucius. I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. I am passionate about helping clients have healthier relationships with themselves and others. My primary focus is supporting clients who have experienced relational trauma, in rediscovering and rebuilding their sense of self. I work with individuals and children over the age of 10. I also work with couples in all stages of their relationship, from pre-marital to post divorce. My approach My therapeutic approach is deeply rooted in Attachment Theory, the assertion that our earliest relationships form the blueprint for how we view ourselves and how we operate in relationships throughout our lives. I am trauma-informed, person-centered and cognitively oriented. I am trained in DBT, CBT, Motivational Interviewing, CRAFT and I am a Level Two PACT trained couples therapist. My focus I have extensive experience with PTSD, depression, anxiety, substance abuse and relationship problems. I've worked with a broad range of individuals at all developmental stages. My communication style I am non-judgmental, empathetic and I believe that people have good reasons for making the choices they do, even if they aren't the most productive ones. My style is coach-like, and skills based; I provide my clients with tools they can use between sessions. I like to provide psychoeducation so that clients understand the mechanisms that drive their emotions/behaviors. Ultimately, I believe that each person knows themselves best and already has the answers inside of them, I see my job as helping my clients reconnect with their innate wisdom so that they may reach their desired goals. My journey to mental healthcare I've always been fascinated by people. This interest first manifested in a love of acting. For me, acting is about stepping into the life of a character so fully that I could portray their emotions and behaviors as thought they were my own.
