Psychotherapist
TN
Do you feel like you are spinning in circles, trying to grow but nothing is helping? I love working with people who are struggling with life and want to find a healthier way of being in the world—in your relationships, at work, and in all aspects of life. I balance managing current problems with getting at the root of where these problems stem from and processing those so that you can grow into the person you want to be. I blend the symptoms shown by your emotions, thoughts, and body to create a unique approach for you. I integrate mindfulness, cognitive approaches, somatic therapy, and, if needed, EMDR (eye-movement desensitization and reprocessing) to help you navigate past what is holding you back. My main focus at first is to create a safe place for you where you feel comfortable addressing issues. It is so scary to start therapy, and I want it to feel as easy as possible for you. I am always open to questions and adapting to what would serve you best. I hold a Master’s degree in Marriage, Couples, and Family Counseling from Messiah University and earned my Bachelor’s degree from Wheaton College.

What should a new client know about working with you?

The first session is always about both of us getting to know each other. I cannot help without knowing your background and the current problems you are facing. Once I have an understanding of what is going on, we can create a plan of what we need to do to get you to your goals. I usually start by exploring healthy coping skills and reinforcing the ones you already use.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
